Tallow Lotion Bars

Our tallow lotion bar is a simple blend of organic, moisturizing ingredients that hydrate and create a natural barrier on the skin. Perfect for dry areas like elbows, hands, and feet—or anywhere that needs a little extra love—the combination of shea butter and grass-fed, organic beef tallow deeply nourishes, while beeswax locks in moisture and shields against the elements. Each bar is lightly scented with organic essential oils for a clean, lasting aroma.

Tallow has been cherished for generations as an old-world skin remedy because its natural oils are remarkably similar to the ones our own skin produces. That’s why it absorbs so beautifully, leaving skin soft instead of greasy. It’s rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, nutrients that help support smooth, healthy, resilient skin.

Unlike many modern moisturizers made with seed oils or synthetic fillers, tallow is pure, stable, and deeply conditioning. It restores balance to dry or weather-worn skin and helps protect it from the elements—just the way nature intended.

Let your skin sink into the glow of a fire-lit evening. This bar opens with the earthy curl of woodsmoke, softened by the gentle spice of clove and grounded in the mellow sweetness of vanilla. Like sparks drifting skyward on a cool night, it lingers with warmth and comfort, wrapping your skin in protection while nourishing it deeply. It’s not just a lotion bar—it’s the ember you carry with you long after the fire fades.

Unscented

A fragrance-free solid lotion bar made with grass-fed tallow, beeswax, and shea butter for deep hydration and protection—nothing extra, just nourishment.

Directions for use: 

To apply the lotion, simply gently rub the bar onto your hands, knees, elbows or feet to apply the product. The bars melt with the natural temperature of your body. Your body will naturally melt what it needs and absorb the lotion. It is so easy to get the perfect amount of lotion with this bar unlike with traditional lotion bottles where you can easily squeeze out too much.

Packaging:

This bar is a perfect zero-waste, portable option. Unlike with traditional lotion bottles and jars, every bit of this lotion bar can get used up and the tin is refillable, reusable and recyclable. Each circular bar is approximately 22 grams and comes in a 2 oz aluminum tin with a twist off lid.

The tallow for our products is locally sourced from one of three locally owned and operated farms,  Grass or Grain Beefhouse in Palmyra, Virginia, Dragonfly Farms in Louisa, Virginia (Dragonfly Farms) or Highlawn Farm in Albemarle, Virginia (Highlawn Farm)

The honey in the tallow balm is sourced from Barefoot on the James  (barefootonthejamesllc.com), a local apiary whose bees work the wildflowers and fields along the James River.

 We’re deeply grateful to partner with these stewards of land and life—neighbors who value purity, sustainability, and craftsmanship as much as we do. Every jar and bar carries a bit of their hard work, heart, and Virginia soil.
